I am an attorney-at-law and a patent attorney in Japan with technical background, currently working as an associate at Yodoyabashi & Yamagami LPC, Osaka, Japan. In the past, I worked at a chemical manufacturer, where I engaged in R&D for highly functionalized polymer materials, and contributed to many patents as an inventor.
My main specializations are IP litigation (mainly patent), all kinds of proceedings before the Japanese Patent Office, legal advice regarding (in)validity, infringement, and IP strategy.
I got an M.Eng. at Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University (2000), a J.D. at Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University (2009), and an LL.M in IP and competition law at the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (2016).
I like reading books, and all kinds of sports activities (esp. basketball, baseball, tennis, golf and jogging).
